There is a gradation of Chi-Chon dogs by percent of parent purebreds.

F1 Chi-Chon are 50x50 mixes created by crossing 100% purebred Bichon-Frise with 100% purebred Chihuahua.

F1B Chi-Chons are 25x75 mixes created by crossing F1 Chi-Chon with one of parent breed (100% purebred Bichon-Frise or Chihuahua).
