There is a gradation of Berndernese dogs by percent of parent purebreds.
F1 Berndernese are 50x50 mixes created by crossing
100% purebred Bernese-Mountain-Dog with 100% purebred Border-Collie.
F1B Bernderneses are 25x75 mixes created by crossing F1 Berndernese
with one of parent breed (100% purebred Bernese-Mountain-Dog or Border-Collie).
