There is a gradation of Ba-Shar dogs by percent of parent purebreds.

F1 Ba-Shar are 50x50 mixes created by crossing 100% purebred Basset-Hound with 100% purebred Chinese-Shar-Pei.

F1B Ba-Shars are 25x75 mixes created by crossing F1 Ba-Shar with one of parent breed (100% purebred Basset-Hound or Chinese-Shar-Pei).
